🏝 Holiday & Time Off

At AutoUncle, we care a lot about how vacation is planned. To us, downtime is also productive - it’s important that all colleagues take extended time away from work to recharge, explore and get inspired.

We offer flexibility to individuals, but we also try to make sure that teams synchronise when they are away from work as much as possible. In practice, this means that people are generally encouraged to take vacation during summer and Christmas at the same time as the team they work in. This helps reduce the pressure to “check in” while on vacation and lowers the risk of being disturbed with questions. It also improves our productivity when we’re back, because we work at the same time as much as possible.

Agreements about vacation are always made with your direct manager.

The following periods are commonly observed as time off by most employees:

• 3 weeks of summer vacation (with exceptions in operational roles)
• Christmas break: 24-31 December
  • AutoUncle offers a half paid vacation day on both the 24th and the 31st of December, in case that is a working day
• Public holidays based on where you live

You may allocate the rest of your vacation days as you choose.

🌴 Extra AutoUncle Vacation Days: Minimum 30 Days of Vacation (Salaried Roles)

From January 1st, 2026, all salaried employees at AutoUncle will be entitled to at least 30 paid vacation days per year, ensuring everyone has time to rest and recharge.
