AutoUncle has always been remote-friendly, following a hybrid recruitment model. We started with a small team in our Aarhus, Denmark office, but always provided the flexibility to work remotely.
Our journey to remote work happened organically. One colleague wanted to return to his family in Romania, and we encouraged him to do so while continuing to work with us remotely. When this proved successful, more colleagues moved abroad, to Romania and elsewhere.
Soon we were operating multiple office locations as well as accommodating fully remote workers.
Then 2020 happened. As everyone shifted to remote work, we saw how well our existing structures already accommodated this change. This solidified our natural evolution toward remote-first.
