Pitches

Pitches are our common language for product ideas. They're how we express and present potential bets we could take. Pitches help us make informed decisions at the betting table.

Pitches aren't product requirement docs or user stories. Instead, they're concise descriptions of a problem coupled with a low-fidelity illustration and description of a solution.

Anyone in the company can draft a pitch, but only a product triad can own and bring a pitch to a betting table.

All pitches brought to a betting table will be listed here for everyone to read and comment on at least 24 hours before the betting table.

Attendees at the betting table include:

At the betting table, we review and discuss the submitted pitches. The outcome is a plan to drive the biggest impact on our OKRs using the submitted pitches. The meeting follows an open format, allowing for feedback, changes, and occasional iterations.

It's crucial that the team triad brings enough pitches to the betting table. This enables hard prioritization to happen here, rather than in the team's pre-work.
