Keep your status up to date

If you’re away or just need some focus time, this is the easiest way to let everyone know. We also respect our colleagues’ statuses and pay attention to their work mode.

Turn off notifications when you go deep

We all need and respect uninterrupted time for deep work. Use the Slack status and inform your colleagues that you’ll be turning off notifications and not checking Slack or email for some time.

Have conversations in open channels

AutoUncle is full of really smart people with different backgrounds. We encourage everyone to ask for feedback on tasks in the appropriate channels rather than private messages. You never know where the next great idea will come from!

Use the Google Calendar Slack app

We recommend using Google Calendar with Slack to help keep track of upcoming meetings and let your colleagues know when you’re busy.

Join the conversation

We encourage everyone at AutoUncle to share success stories and join in each other’s celebrations. Memes, gifs, and funny articles are welcome. React with weird emojis or make your own. Having fun and natural conversation on Slack makes work more pleasant for everybody.

Share what we can celebrate

We love to celebrate when others do well. Let others in on your wins, big and small by sharing on Slack what excites you and what you’re proud about.
